Curation ~ Meteorites ~ Moon Rocks ~ Cosmic Dust

The 1996 NASA Strategic Plan names JSC as the Primary Center for Astromaterials. Our mission in area is to protect, preserve, and distribute for study samples from the Moon, Mars, and interplanetary space in support of solar system exploration.

JSC currently houses collections of moon rocks and other lunar samples, Antarctic meteorites, cosmic dust, and space-exposed hardware.
